Saint-Fons (France), 18 May 2026 – Symbio continues its transformation and entry into new markets with the renewed support of its two long-standing co‑shareholders, Forvia and Michelin.

Backed by a new business plan supported by its shareholders, this three‑pillar strategic reorientation aims to position Symbio in the emerging markets of hydrogen mobility and stationary power generation:

1) Continued industrialization of a 75-kW hydrogen fuel cell for stationary applications and mobility.
This technology is already used on the road to power coaches in France and heavy‑duty trucks in the United States. It has proven its performance under extremely demanding operating conditions by powering the eight off‑road vehicles of the Extreme H championship, the world’s first hydrogen-powered motorsport competition, held in October 2025. It is also in the final phase of large‑scale testing for supplying electricity to data centers. Production capacity will gradually ramp up at SymphonHy gigafactory, the largest integrated site dedicated to fuel cell production in Europe.

2) Development of a new generation of a 150-kW hydrogen fuel cell.
This technology, already covered by 29 patents, is designed to address the challenges of decarbonization and power management for high‑power energy infrastructures and long‑distance transport by 2030.

3) Support for early adopters in their hydrogen‑electric transition.
Leveraging its comprehensive expertise in hydrogen fuel cells (components, stacks, systems), Symbio provides pioneers of this technological shift with integrated product‑service solutions at every stage of their projects.

“The renewed support of Forvia, Michelin and the French State, as part of the continuation of the IPCEI*, marks a new beginning for Symbio, with a roadmap that is both ambitious and realistic. We are determined to pursue our industrial journey with our hydrogen fuel cell solutions to power decarbonized mobility and stationary applications. The hydrogen sector is a strategic link in the energy value chain, ensuring French and European competitiveness in an increasingly unstable geopolitical context”
