Accessibility

In accordance with our values, we attach paramount importance to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users, irrespective of their hardware or software, network infrastructure, geographical location, or their physical or mental abilities (definition of accessibility as provided by the World Wide Web Consortium).

This website has been developed so as to ensure accessibility across all browsers and on all mobile platforms available on the market. It also strives to remain usable for individuals with disabilities that may affect their ability to access online content or services, including visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, neurological impairments, as well as age-related limitations.

1. Accessibility Statement

SYMBIO undertakes to make its websites, intranet, extranet, and software packages (as well as its mobile applications and digital street furniture) accessible in accordance with Article 47 of Law No. 2005-102 of 11 February 2005. This accessibility statement applies to: https://www.symbio.one/

2. Compliance Status

The website https://www.symbio.one/ is partially compliant with the General Accessibility Improvement Framework (Référentiel Général d’Amélioration de l’Accessibilité – RGAA), version 4, due to the non-compliances and exemptions listed below.

The compliance audit carried out by SYMBIO indicates that:

  • 81% of the criteria under RGAA version 4 are met.
  • Contrast (criteria 3.2 and 3.3): certain buttons or text elements have insufficient contrast to meet RGAA requirements, notably white-colored breadcrumb links.
  • Keyboard navigation (criterion 12.8): the tab order for keyboard navigation is not consistently optimized.
  • Link purpose (criterion 6.2): the title attribute of links is not always optimized (either missing or redundant with the link text, without providing additional information).
  • Image alternatives (criteria 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3): alternative text for images is not always optimized (incomplete tagging and/or lack of relevant description). Decorative images (non-informational) are not systematically ignored by assistive technologies.
  • Video descriptions (criteria 4.1 to 4.9): informational videos do not systematically provide transcripts or alternative content.
  • Accessibility of office documents (criteria 13.3 to 13.3.1): office documents (notably PDFs) containing information are not always available in accessible formats.
  • Form input validation (criteria 11.11 to 11.11.02): input examples for each form field are not systematically provided.

3. Non-compliant Content

Disproportionate Burden Exemptions: Videos hosted on YouTube and published on the symbio.one website do not always include a comprehensive description due to the disproportionate workload this would represent given the size of the teams responsible for content production and publication. However, automatic captioning is available for all videos.
